Effective 29 October 2026
These terms apply to direct bookings through sumixhotel.com and use of the Sumix Hotel website. Hotel: Sumix Hotel, Bwebajja, Akright, Entebbe Road, Uganda. Contact: info@sumixhotel.com. Online payments display the merchant as SUMIX HOTEL LIMITED.
1. Making a reservation
The person booking must be at least 18 and provide accurate contact, guest, and stay details. Rooms and requested extras are subject to availability. Check your confirmation carefully and contact the hotel promptly if anything is incorrect. A reservation is confirmed when the hotel’s system or staff sends a confirmation; a failed or abandoned payment alone does not guarantee a room.
2. Prices, currency and deposits
The total and any required deposit are shown before booking. The current online setup requests a 50% deposit for bookings made at least one day before arrival and full payment for bookings made closer to arrival, unless the selected rate states otherwise. The balance is payable at the hotel. If Pay on Arrival is selected and accepted, no online payment is required to submit that reservation; pay the amount due at the hotel. A booking confirmation is not a payment receipt.
Website rates are displayed in USD. Pesapal or your bank/mobile-money provider may display or settle in another currency using its applicable exchange rate. Review the actual amount and any provider fees before authorising payment. The hotel does not ask for your PIN or payment password.
3. Flexible cancellation policy
For standard flexible direct bookings, cancellation received at least 48 hours before the scheduled check-in time is free and any accommodation payment collected is refundable. Cancellation received within 48 hours of check-in, or failure to arrive on the booked date without an agreed change, incurs a charge of one night’s accommodation, capped at the total accommodation price. Any accommodation payment above that charge is refundable. The hotel will not charge more than this amount without a separately disclosed and accepted rate condition.
Send cancellation requests to info@sumixhotel.com with your booking reference. Timing is measured in Uganda local time (East Africa Time, UTC+3). Keep the hotel’s written cancellation acknowledgement. Date changes depend on availability and the new rate; a change is effective only once confirmed. Group, long-stay, promotional or non-refundable terms apply only if clearly disclosed and accepted before booking. Early-departure arrangements must be agreed with the hotel in writing.
4. Refunds
The hotel will initiate an approved refund within five business days, normally through the original payment method. The bank or payment provider controls when it appears in the guest’s account. Any legally permitted deduction must have been disclosed before payment; unavoidable rights under applicable law are preserved. If the hotel cannot honour a confirmed reservation, offer a suitable alternative only with the guest’s agreement, or refund payments collected for the unavailable service.
5. Arrival, departure and guests
The current booking settings show check-in from 11:00 am and check-out by 10:00 am. Early arrival, late departure, extra guests, airport transfers and other requests require confirmation and may carry a disclosed charge. Observe the room’s stated occupancy and the hotel’s reasonable safety and conduct rules. The hotel may request identification where needed for lawful registration and security.
6. Website information and acceptable use
Use the website lawfully. Do not submit false bookings, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with other users, or misuse hotel content. Photographs and descriptions illustrate the accommodation; confirm any essential accessibility, amenity or service requirement before booking. The hotel will correct material errors and notify affected guests rather than impose undisclosed changes.
7. Privacy and external services
Personal information is handled as explained in the Privacy Policy. Pesapal, banks, mobile-money providers and external linked services apply their own terms and privacy notices. Payment authorisation does not replace the hotel’s responsibility for the stay you book.
8. Problems, responsibility and law
Contact hotel staff promptly about a service problem so it can be addressed. Each party remains responsible as required by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or guest rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms are intended to operate under the laws of Uganda; any mandatory consumer or data-protection rights remain unaffected. Seek an amicable resolution before pursuing the appropriate lawful complaint or dispute process.
9. Changes
Updated terms apply prospectively. Keep a copy of the terms and rate conditions accepted with your reservation. Material changes will not be applied retrospectively without the guest’s agreement where required.
